How it works

  1. Shopify flags the order.

    Medium or high risk, based on Shopify's own risk assessment — Order Vault doesn't score orders itself.

  2. Order Vault holds it.

    Fulfillment pauses. Payment stays authorized, not captured. The order is tagged, and the customer gets a one-click link showing the order name and a masked address.

  3. The customer confirms.

    Order Vault records the time, IP address, and browser.

  4. You decide.

    Approve captures payment and releases the hold, so the order ships. Cancel voids the authorization and cancels the order — nothing ships.

  5. Or it decides itself.

    A reminder goes out first, then an automatic decision before the authorization expires — cancel by default, or approve if the customer already confirmed.

Every order Order Vault tracks gets a downloadable PDF evidence file, built automatically and ready to send if a chargeback comes in.
